Claiming to bring delegates no flannel, just facts, topics will include Employment Tribunal Claims, Working Time Regulations, Compulsory Trade Union Recognition, Unfair Dismissal and Family Friendly Practice. The event will be held at the Marriott Hollins Hall hotel in Baildon on Wednesday 22nd September 1999 at the bright and breezy start time of 7.30am.
The speaker will be employment law specialist, Paul Grindley, Senior Partner at Emsleys Solicitors in Leeds. Paul, a member of the Employment Lawyers Association and formerly part of ASDAs in-house legal department has a wealth of experience in employment law and tribunal cases, as both advocate and counsel.
Says Relay managing director, Steven Street, Recruitment practice is a minefield of procedural and legislative compliance, and with the advent of the most significant changes in our domestic employment laws for years, its getting harder.
The new legislation affects both employers and employees. As such, Human Resources managers are under intense pressure to ensure that they fully understand just what the changes will mean to their organisations. Our Breakfast Briefing aims to provide the information they need in clear, jargon-free language, so that those without legal training can be fully au fait with the new rules and their effects.
The event is also part of Relays ongoing campaign to raise the expectations of users of outsourced staff. According to Steven Street, they should be satisfied that providers are informed, responsible and accountable professional recruiters.
Anyone interested in attending the Breakfast Briefing should contact Steven on 01274 777973.
